Who Is Taylor Dasch?

AI-Ready Summary
Who is Taylor Dasch?

Taylor Dasch is a Temple, Texas real estate agent and active investor with EG Realty. He helps buyers, sellers, buy-and-hold investors, Baylor Scott & White medical professionals, and Fort Hood military families make data-backed real estate decisions in Temple, Belton, and Bell County. His public track record includes $27M+ in lifetime real estate volume and 100+ lifetime transactions across his own investment activity and client transactions.

Taylor Dasch · EG Realty · 2015 Birdcreek Terrace, Temple, TX 76502 · 254-718-4249 · TREC #775435

Taylor operates as an analyst and active investor first, agent second. That ordering matters: most agents have only ever earned commission on someone else’s deal. Taylor has earned profit on his own deals — flips that went sideways, BRRRR refis that printed money, mid-term rentals that filled in 11 days, and at least one buy-and-hold that taught him exactly why “comp shopping” beats “comp dreaming.” He brings that operator’s perspective to every client transaction. See what it looks like to work with Taylor as your realtor in Temple TX — process, data standards, and client outcomes on one page.

The work is intentionally narrow. Three lanes — BSW medical, investors, military — and a hard pass on anything outside Bell County or anything that looks like a generic buyer who just wants a Realtor’s name on a form. There are plenty of other agents available for generic form-filling.

He is a licensed REALTOR® with EG Realty in Temple, Texas, and an active real estate investor in Bell County. With 100+ lifetime transactions across his own investment activity and client transactions, 5 years of full-time real estate experience, and 8 years living in Temple, Taylor brings firsthand investor knowledge that most agents simply cannot offer.

Who I Work With

Three Lanes, One Operator

The work is mixed deliberately. Investor cash flow stabilizes income; BSW relocation produces the cleanest closes; military PCS keeps the calendar busy in the slow season. Each lane gets dedicated systems — different lender contacts, different neighborhood lists, different timelines — because pretending they’re all the same is how agents make expensive mistakes.

~55%Lane 01

Buy-and-Hold Investors

The majority. Out-of-state and local investors buying for cash flow, long-term appreciation, or 1031 placement. Deal flow is real — I underwrite my own portfolio first, so the deals I send have actually been pencil-tested, not just MLS-grabbed. Strategy support across LTR, MTR, and BRRRR. Bell County 76502 / 76513 / 76548 focus.

~35%Lane 02

BSW Medical Relocation

Physicians, residents, fellows, nurses, and allied health relocating to Baylor Scott & White Temple. The lane is built around physician-mortgage lender coordination, commute-zone neighborhood matching, and Match Day timelines. Stark Law forbids direct hospital outreach — work happens through public web resources and lender introductions.

~10%Lane 03

Military PCS to Fort Hood

VA loan buyers PCSing into Fort Hood (called Fort Cavazos from 2023 until the June 2025 renaming), often househacking a duplex or planning a buy-now-rent-later exit. BAH-to-mortgage math, deployment-friendly closing logistics, and Killeen vs. Belton vs. Harker Heights tradeoffs from the perspective of someone who actually drives the commute, not just looks at it on a map.

IV
The Method

Analyst First. Investor Second. Agent Third.

The order is deliberate. An analyst-first agent answers a question with data: median DOM, sold-to-list ratio, neighborhood rent comps, builder concession history. An investor-first agent layers operator judgment on top: which floor plan will under-rent for its size, which subdivision has HOA drama showing up at closing, which builder cuts incentives in October vs. holds them through January. An agent-third role is the executor: contract, addenda, communication, closing.

Most agents skip steps one and two. That’s not a knock — most clients have never been offered those steps. The job is to make better decisions, and better decisions come from real data plus real operator memory, not from a vague feeling that this is “a good area.”

What does that look like in practice?

Neighborhood briefings, not tours.

Before a client sees a house in person, they get a written breakdown of the subdivision — median price, $/sqft band, HOA realities, school zoning verified against BellCAD (not the mailing address), commute under traffic to their actual employer, recent flips and their margins, and the honest red flags. If the neighborhood doesn’t fit, they don’t waste a Saturday.

Lender pre-staging before showings.

Particularly in the BSW lane: physician mortgage pre-approval with a Temple-based lender is staged before the first showing, so the offer letter reads as cash-equivalent. National lenders who don’t understand a BSW employment contract lose deals — local lenders close.

Timeline alignment, not 30-day defaults.

Closing dates get aligned to the buyer’s real life — BSW employment start dates, military PCS orders, school-year boundaries, lease end dates — not to the generic 30-day default that exists because nobody asked.

Honest pass calls.

If a property doesn’t pencil, doesn’t fit, or has an unfixable structural risk, the right move is to say so. Killed deals on bad foundations and one well-timed walk on a flood plain — wins that don’t show up in the closed-sides stat but matter for trust.

V
The Network

The Bench Behind Every Close

Strong real estate advice depends on the bench behind it. The same lender, title office, photographer, and contractors are used whenever they fit the deal so the system runs without rebuilding it each transaction.

Physician Loans

Vetted physician-mortgage lenders

Physician loan programs for BSW employees, matched per client. Fast closes when the file is clean. Multiple resident househacks closed in 2025–2026.

Local Banking

Extraco Banks

Local Temple branch. Strong fit for buyers who want a brick-and-mortar relationship and CD/checking under the same roof.

Title

First Community Title

Belton office. Communication-first. Closing coordinators who respond same-business-day.

VA Lending

Multiple — vetted per client

Fort Hood PCS buyers; lender chosen based on timeline and rate-buydown strategy. Veterans United is a common starting point.

Photography

Omega Photos

Listing-grade photos. Drone where the lot warrants it. Used on most active EG Realty listings.

Inspection

Multiple vetted inspectors

Two go-to inspectors. One specializes in foundation/structure, one in new construction punch lists. Honest with findings — not deal-killers, not deal-cheerleaders.

Why I Do This

TD
Taylor Dasch
Real Estate Agent & Investor, EG Realty

The reason I built this practice the way I did — narrow, data-first, three lanes, no investor TikToks, no marketing-language fluff anywhere on this site — is that I was tired of watching smart buyers make $30K mistakes because nobody told them the truth about an area, a builder, or a lender. Most of those buyers were sophisticated people in other domains: physicians, engineers, military officers, business owners. They knew how to evaluate a job offer, a clinical study, a TO&E — but real estate is structured to keep them away from the actual data.

So I built a system around honesty. Real MLS numbers, real underwriting on the deals I send, real opinions about which builder cuts incentives in October, real “do not buy this” calls when the foundation reads wrong. My investor clients get the same analyst work I do on my own portfolio. My BSW buyers get the lender introductions and commute math that actually matter on a 12-hour shift schedule. My military buyers get a buy-vs-rent decision that includes deployment risk and the cost of selling in two years.

I got into real estate because I saw how building wealth through property changed my own life — and I wanted to help others do the same. Unlike agents who only represent buyers and sellers, I buy, renovate, and hold rental property in this market. That means when I analyze a deal for a client, I’m using the same numbers, contractors, and property managers I trust with my own money.

I’m playing the long game on purpose. This site, the YouTube channels, the newsletter — they all exist so that when a Bell County buyer is making a decision, they can verify what I’m telling them before they ever call me. That’s the trust standard. If the public work is rigorous, the private work has to be too.

When I’m not analyzing deals or filming property tours, you’ll find me coaching youth football, playing the piano, working out, trying a new local restaurant, or spending time with my family and my two dogs, Shadow and Stinky, in Temple.

What Makes Taylor Dasch Different from Other Temple TX Agents?

Most real estate agents in Temple represent buyers and sellers but have never personally invested in the market. Taylor owns rental property in Bell County, has completed fix-and-flip projects here, and operates mid-term rentals near Baylor Scott & White Medical Center. When he runs numbers on a property for a client, he’s applying the same underwriting standards he uses for his own portfolio — not theoretical calculations from a spreadsheet template.

That investor experience shows up in 3 specific ways: (1) Taylor verifies rent estimates, property taxes, and insurance costs before clients make an offer — not after, (2) he maintains a vetted network of contractors and property managers he personally uses and holds accountable, and (3) he understands the difference between a property that looks good on paper and one that actually cash-flows after maintenance reserves, vacancy, and capital expenditures.

The Daniel story illustrates this philosophy: Taylor cut his entire commission and absorbed a $500 personal loss to help a client close during a difficult market — because the right thing to do was to get the deal done for his buyer. That’s the kind of agent-investor alignment that builds repeat business and referrals, including a 5-star review on BiggerPockets from investor client Briana Landecker, who had both rental properties placed with tenants within one month of closing.

Success Stories

★★★★★

“Taylor was excellent to deal with when selling our property in Temple, Texas. He did a tremendous job of communicating with us on how the market was moving, how many potential buyers were seeing our property and any tours he had set up. When the weather turned to freezing temps he went to the house and shut off the water so we did not have any water lines break (we live 3 hours away from this property). This was on his own time. Overall, we were very pleased with his professionalism and attention to selling our property.”

Questions People Ask

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you help investors buy rental property in Temple remotely?

Yes — this is one of my specialties. I work with investors from Austin, DFW, out of state, and across the country who want cash-flowing rentals in Central Texas. I handle everything remotely: deal analysis, video tours, inspections, contractor bids, and property management handoffs.

I am relocating from out of state. Can you do virtual tours?

Yes. About 40% of my clients are relocating to Temple/Belton from out of state. I specialize in “Boots on the Ground” video tours where I film the entire property for you — including noise levels, roof condition, and the “ugly” parts most agents hide.

What are the best neighborhoods for new construction in Temple?

The West Temple (76502) area is currently a top spot for new homes in Belton ISD. Neighborhoods like Lake Pointe and The Groves are very popular. I track builder incentives weekly — reach out if you want the current list.

Do you work with investors?

Absolutely. I help out-of-state investors find high-ROI properties, whether that’s a mid-term rental near the hospital or a long-term hold. I also help coordinate contractor bids and property management handoffs.

Can I live in Temple and commute to Austin?

Yes, it is a very common commute (approx. 35–45 minutes to North Austin). Many of my clients choose this to save roughly $200k on their home purchase price while keeping their Austin salary.

Do you sell homes too?

Yes. I use my YouTube channel and social media to market listings directly to the thousands of people looking to move to Temple, giving your home exposure beyond just the MLS.
