- 7 minutes to Temple College
You’re getting newer homes—mostly Stylecraft builds from the last few years—in the $250K–$300K range while West Temple’s asking $325K–$400K+ for comparable square footage.
Same granite. Same open floor plans. $75,000 less.
That’s not a deal. That’s math.

South Pointe sits in the southeast Temple growth corridor—tucked off South 5th Street near the 76504 zip. It feels country-quiet, almost like you’re outside city limits, but you’re not sacrificing convenience.

- Summer Fun Water Park: 5 minutes (your kids will thank you every June)
- Major groceries (H-E-B, Walmart): 6–8 minutes
- I-35 access: 10 minutes

If you’re in healthcare—or buying as an investment—pay attention. Travel nurses, medical residents, and contract staff at Baylor Scott & White are always looking for short- or mid-term housing close to the hospital. South Pointe’s price point and location make it a goldmine for resale or rental income down the line.

About $10–$11/month—yes, you read that right. It’s described as voluntary and covers boulevard maintenance and neighborhood events. Confirm the current amount and terms with the HOA before closing, but this is one of the lowest fees you’ll find anywhere in Temple.

- Raye-Allen Elementary (PK–5)
- Travis Science Academy (6–8)
- Temple High School (8–12)
(Always verify exact zoning with Temple ISD using your specific address—listing sites aren’t gospel.)
The Trap You Need to Know About
South Pointe checks a lot of boxes, but let’s be direct about what it’s not:
1. It’s Temple ISD, Not Belton ISD
Some families specifically want Belton schools. If that’s a dealbreaker for you, South Pointe won’t work. Know your priorities before you fall in love with a house.
2. Stylecraft Warranties Require Attention
Most homes here are Stylecraft builds. They’re solid value builders—but like any production builder, you need to stay on top of the punch list and understand your warranty coverage. I’ve seen buyers get burned by assuming “new construction” means “worry-free.”
It doesn’t.
Walk the home with a fine-tooth comb before closing. Get everything in writing. Use an agent who knows what to push back on (hi, that’s me).
3. It’s Not West Temple
If you want that established-neighborhood feel with mature trees and a Belton ISD address, you’re looking in the wrong zip code. South Pointe is newer, more open, quieter—but it doesn’t have the cachet some buyers are chasing.
